Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team full-time. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems. Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and software.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
- Automate tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with other teams to support software development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Linux administration and IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or System Administrator.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in Linux or related technologies (e.g., LPIC, RHCE) is a plus.
